The Conscious Creative Community Upgraded

Feb 17, 2022

New Team. New Challenges. New Growth.

The Future of the CCC Facebook Page brings more exciting opportunities to uplift the conscious creative within you!

The CCC page is a community dedicated to uplifting the floral designer to a conscious creative. Taking our design level to new heights by expanding our education and mindset around floral design elevates all of us.

The Conscious Creative Community is growing together with every one of our members, and it is for that reason that we have involved some of our most active members and newly EMC graduates in moderating the group, setting up new, exciting design challenges and bringing the community to a new level.

European Master Certification is so much more than just a floral education program. All our actions are focused also on building a community of floral designers who explore creativity through consciousness and focus on the process of designing, seeing it as a tool of personal and professional growth. The Conscious Creative Community is part of our system of bringing designers together and as the first year of our group has brought over one thousand florists from all over the world in this creative space, we have taken the decision to upgrade the quality of the group. A new and enthusiastic group of EMC graduates and talented designers have joined our team of moderators, lead by Ana Grigoras, CFD EMC as group expert. Coral Shortt EMC, Laura Draghici EMC, Barbara Atsbury EMC and Sara Marie Andrews EMC are becoming more involved in the community, exercising their knowledge and creative drive towards helping all of us grow, together. See how they envision the future of CCC

"I remember last year when the CC Group was formed... I joined knowing that the approach was going to be different from any other groups before as this is something that represents EMC. And I was right! Being in the same place with many of my colleagues, with some of my professors and with other designers from all over the world (some of them who also  become my floral friends in the meantime) gave me the opportunity to connect with them and to learn very much during the last year, just from looking with conscious eyes at other peers designs, from participating in the challenges, from listening to the lives and from reading the comments of people that engaged together and wanted to share their knowledge and experience with others.

Knowing that I have a place where I can be in the company of other people that have the same passion but also the same challenges and struggles like I do, made me feel that I am not alone. Being able to engage with others in a safe and kind environment, sharing opinions, experiences and knowledge, gave me confidence and made me want to be part of this community even more, as I noticed here the true power of collaboration.

As time passes I see our community becoming even stronger as we all engage and share one with another what inspires us, what move us, and why not what challenges us in this beautiful journey of becoming a conscious creative. Everyone is most welcome to express themselves and to inspire the others! It’s in the hands of all of us as members of this group to contribute in creating each day an even more inspiring and nurturing community, by communicating more one with another, by sharing more and by just being a voice and not just a listener, as “ the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.” (H. Jackson Brown Jr.)

This community is dedicated to uplifting the floral designer to a conscious creative and that can be achieved by caring, interacting and sharing as everyone of us can make a difference in inspiring and motivating others to search for growth outside the comfort zone." Ana Grigoras, CFD, EMC

"It is my real desire to see this community grow to become a haven for designers to post photos of their work in order to educate, illustrate and demonstrate their ability to create floral designs; safe in the knowledge that we are positive and professional in our comments; able to admire and learn from the work and techniques used by the top creatives; and encouraging those who have less experience to happily post pictures of their designs too, knowing that others in the community can appreciate their endeavours and are willing to give positive comments on what they have achieved, and thoughtful advice on how to improve areas where they may be lacking a little understanding.

As conscious creatives, we need to always challenge ourselves or we will stultify and not grow.  We should not be afraid of ‘failing’ at a task when we have not achieved the outcome to the level with which we would be content; but, with our own ability to assess our creations, and constructive advice from others, our skills and understanding will grow exponentially, developing our creative personalities within a caring community.  It is also my great hope that we will learn much more about the customs, traditions and conventions of our international community, including the depth of floriculture in each country, in order to understand what may make it easier or, conversely, harder, to achieve the outcomes we desire; and to respect what others in the community have to take into consideration when planning their designs and delighting their clients." Sara Marie Andrews, EMC

"Being bound at home during the Covid pandemic shutdowns and quite periods in-between, I like many others took to social media to engage with like-minded people from around the world to share my passion for flowers. The Conscious Creative Community continues to inspire me and others to share designs, techniques, and other topics to help each other improve, learn new methods or different approaches to tasks that we might not have known about before, I have even learnt more about social media and technology by posting my designs here and believe me I’m the worst when it comes to technology, thankfully I work with flowers!

I find the CCC to be an informative, safe and encouraging platform that I am happy to be part of, a real floral community! That can only grow with people like you, so I would encourage anyone with a passion for flowers and floral design, new to the industry or experienced to share your designs, learn from each other, and start networking – Globally!" Barbara Atsbury EMC

"One of the benefits of social media, is the ability to connect with like-minded people around the world – people who share your passions and interests. And a community like CCC is just such a happy and inspiring place. It gives us the opportunity to share many design related things, including our designs, like how different countries or cultures view flower holidays like Valentine’s day, or Mothers Day. Or how botanicals are incorporated into traditions like the post about Ucranian Christmas. And to see how this inspires designers to create something incorporating these traditions.

As a new & experienced designer, it can be quite daunting to post your designs, but I encourage you to do this, as its only by photographing our work (how much do we learn from looking at our designs in 2D?) and posting it that we can learn more about the design process, through feedback from others. And by the discipline of analysing our work before putting it out there. In addition, by designers sharing techniques and designs, we often may be inspired ourselves to use a technique in a new way we hadn’t thought of.

I love the safe place here to share designs and hope you’ll all feel the same and start sharing your designs here, regardless of your experience – let’s make this a really happy flower community of conscious designers." Coral Shortt, EMC

"For me personally, the CCC group is the most important group on Facebook. I have it at favourites. Since I joined this group one year ago I check every day what has been posted, who posts and what I can learn from the posts of others. It gives me great pleasure to see the ccc challenge every month and I participate with great joy in these monthly competitions that I have won several times.

I hope that in the future as many people as possible will participate in these monthly competitions in order for us all to enjoy the evolution of floristics and the competition between designers, which will create an upgrade for everyone. As a graduate floral designer at EMC, I want to contribute with ideas and tips to help members who are just beginning to enjoy this wonderful art - floral art!" Laura Draghici, EMC

This is a safe and fun place where we support each other and share ALL our experiences and stories and everyone is welcome to grow, creatively, together!
