There is always a creative feeling when you are holding a pencil, as it gives you the freedom to illustrate what’s in your mind. By means of drawing rough lines and shapes, you begin to use creativity to explore interesting concepts and focus on optimal solutions. A sketch is the moment of genesis of every design.
It has the word simple in the definition, yet many people are reluctant to sketching. Most of the times, their mind frame is anchored in the idea that they don't know how to draw... But ...

Unleash Your Infinite Creative Potential
The most creative act you will ever undertake is the act of creating yourself! The words of Deepak Chopra are full of wisdom, aren’t they?
There is no easy way around it, though. It involves fighting for the things you believe in. It means keep on going with a perseverance mindset to achieve your goals.
Thinking back to my early days, I know I had the ambition and the drive. But I was feeling as an unheard florist seeking ways to get in touch with my ideal client. Sound familiar?
Finding people who were open to my ideas, my vision, my interaction with botanicals, elements and principles translated to them appreciating my designs and my efforts.
I have learned that ideas do not stand by themselves. Something must be done about them, and the...
Design Green - the EMC Core Team building hosted by Smithers Oasis at their Ohio headquarters took place mid February, 2020. This is a yet to be told, important story that got caught up in the mist of uncertainty and shock that came with this pandemic. The immediate life changing events that followed worldwide made it fade away and the momentum seemed lost. Still, the true value of things lies in their ability to become timeless.
It is a story from a different time now, when a group of people, namely the members of the EMC Core Team, easily flew to Ohio from all different parts of the world, from Hawaii to Belgium. They spent a week as guests of their partners and sponsors of the EMC Program, Smithers Oasis, at their headquarters. As one can imagine, there was no social distancing or...
Creativity is the most important skill for success in the 21st century.
Growth only comes from intention, the pure intention to become better. Becoming the greatest version of your-self is so much more than a good motto, it is truly a state of mind that helps you achieve your goals. Nowadays, self-education is the best way to grow. You can go as fast or in depth as YOU want.
Still, education is very much built and focused on sharing information. Attempting to teach a skill by sharing information, instead of training a state of mind is not the right way to go.
At European Master Certification we focus on the student’s ability to process the information. Creativity should be a journey of discovering your own potential, rather than a destination!

Envision the VISION!
VISION is the lighthouse that ought to guide the journey of all artists through the creative world!
Vision reveals purpose, purpose determines objectives, objectives help establish guidelines and rules, which translate into actions. From the way we each run our business to the way we create floral designs, everything is determined by either having a vision, or by lacking one. Inspiration and creativity alone, two words we hear so often in...
For the past 2 years, I have had the privilege each month of sharing news of the ever-growing EMC Family with you. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know each and every one of you through this process! It is with a sad heart that I am announcing that as I begin a new chapter of my professional career, I am stepping down from all my responsibilities with EMC at the end of January 2020.
I began my tenure with EMC as a student in 2013 and graduated in 2014 with the smallest EMC Class on record! Thanks to a wonderful opportunity to become part the original EMC Team in 2015 when EMC was beginning to grow into Europe and the South American Hemisphere, I have had the honor to represent EMC as part of an incredibly talented group who traveled around North...

Tomas: The recognition by the Royal Belgium Floral Association and the Belgium Chamber of Commerce sets the EMC program apart from a workshop.
